This is the first Korean drama that follows the lead character's journey from childhood to old age. It beautifully portrays love from youth to later years.
However, this drama is not just about finding a good partner-it's also about being a good parent and living a meaningful life.
More than just a love story, this drama delves into the essence of family. It explores the relationship between parents and children, the struggles of coping with loss, and the importance of taking action to improve one's life. It emphasizes that effort never goes unrewarded.
The cast delivers outstanding performances, with each actor bringing their character to life. IU, in particular, shines as she successfully portrays two distinct characters, Oh Ae Sun and Yang Geum-myeong.

The storyline of this movie is actually very strong. Even though I haven't read the novel, I'm confident that the book offers a deeper and richer experience compared to the adaptation.
While the plot is compelling, the casting feels somewhat lacking. Even Aliando's performance falls short-his acting appears less natural. Among the main characters, only Yoriko delivers a convincing performance.
If the director had been more meticulous in selecting the cast, this movie could have had a greater emotional impact on the audience.
The editing also feels unpolished. Several scenes are incomplete, making the narrative confusing at times. A more refined editing process could have enhanced the overall storytelling.

This is the best Indonesian movie I've watched in early 2025 since its release on Netflix.
The storyline is simple yet unpredictable and strong. The actors' performances bring the movie to life, making it feel incredibly real.
A seemingly ordinary story, yet filled with deep meaning. Who doesn't dream of owning their own home? How many other Kaluna exist in the real world-forced to step aside for their married siblings? And how many children become the backbone of their families, sometimes even exploited to earn a living?
Indonesia needs more movies like this. More movies about reality, dreams, and family issue.
