I really enjoyed this first season, and I want to say right away that I'm eagerly waiting for the second one.

This is a story far too ambitious for the budget it received, but thanks to a smart use of resources the result is solid and effective. Many people might not know it's based on a comic from the 1950s, but for those of us who did, I think the adaptation was handled very well. The show takes its time to develop the characters and their relationships, and by setting it in a modern era, it gives the events a more scientific tone than the original work had.

One change I really appreciated was the protagonist's age. Here they cast Ricardo Darín at 68, when in the comic the character is much younger. I know some fans disliked this, but for me it works perfectly in the modern context. It would've been hard to justify a young Argentine expert with weapons today. Instead, giving the character a past as a veteran of the Falklands War makes everything more coherent and powerful.

That said, there's still room for improvement. I especially hope the second season gets a bigger budget to improve the CGI, which at times looks pretty rough. It doesn't ruin the experience, but with today's technology it could definitely be better.

All in all, I highly recommend it. It's only six episodes, easy to binge in a single day, and if you like the story, I strongly suggest reading the original comic: a landmark work of Argentine and Latin American sci-fi.

Fantastic Four: First Steps is an entertaining film, but far from perfect. On the positive side, I loved the set design and the retro-futuristic aesthetic, which was beautifully executed. The performances and the chemistry between the leads were much better than I expected, and I enjoyed spotting nods to other films, such as Interstellar and Godzilla, among many others.

Unfortunately, the screenplay is where it falls short. The first two acts work really well, setting up the world and the central conflict, but everything falls apart in the third act. The resolution is overly simple and predictable, and the emotional scene that should have been a highlight is overshadowed by poor CGI that reminded me of The Flash. It's an enjoyable watch, but one that had the potential to be so much more.

The Royal Tenenbaums is an iconic film that hides powerful emotions beneath the surface of what initially feels like a quirky family comedy. Each character is dealing with deep personal struggles, and it is truly admirable how Wes Anderson manages to develop all of them without losing the balance of the story.

The director's unique aesthetic and visual style make the film instantly recognizable, but what truly makes it special is its ability to make you laugh while still feeling the weight of the characters' emotions. It's a wonderful film that lingers in your mind long after the credits roll, perfectly blending humor and heartfelt drama in a way only Anderson could achieve.
