These days thrillers seemed to be a dying breed. Thankfully weapons came out and showed me one hell of a time. It keeps the audience engaged during it's full run time. And how the story was shown from multiple perspectives really builds a very thrilling atmosphere. It's not a life changing movie or anythingn it's just beautifully shot and perfectly executed.
Joseph kosinski knows how to shoot a great practical stunt scenes I will give him that. Top gun Maverick was stunning this is close to that. I know we don't watch these films for the story but it felt like a ten year old wrote it. Brad Pitt is the definition of charisma and I wish he acted in more films. The scores were fantastic and from a racing point of view it was captured beautifully and so authentically felt like a real race than a movie but it wasn't thrilling. If we compare it with other movies about motorsport like "Rush" and "Ford V Ferrari" F1 isn't near as good. I think these types of movies work from a autobiographical perspective. Overall it was a good movie going experience but nothing memorable. And the ending was very silly they could have made it a tad bit more dramatic.
Not spectacular from the very beginning the movie was running on the identity of the first one. Everything interesting about it was from the first movie. One of the most forgettable sequels ever. Paul mescal couldn't deliver at all most of the times it felt like he wasn't even the main charecter. Certainly nowhere near the gladiator Russell Crowe was. Denzel Washington was the only solid part about this film. It was a long film but the whole plot felt rush and couldn't make the crowd feel anything. Highly forgettable and another miss by Ridley Scott. At this point I won't be excited for his upcoming projects. He seems to have lost it.
