Wow I'm a huge Ru fan but Michelle has breathed new life into this season. I don't know how she did it but she turned this season around and Down Under has gone from meh to must watch. It was a great cast but there's been other years with great casts that just never shone like they should. It's obvious production is on a shoestring but this year they made it work, where it just came across a bit sad in previous years. This season really drilled down into each queens uniqueness and Michelle just added so much heart and silliness that it made the show shine. Also having queens on the judging panel works so well - we need to see this in more of the franchises. Loving this and looking forward to next year.

I've stuck with this mainly because there are some genuinely amazing queens but time and time again they seem to get overlooked. You always know who is favoured and is going to win right from the outset. Any edgy or older queen just gets overlooked. Probably Icesis is the exception but they were perfection and so hard to ignore. They've added loads of tricks and gimmick's (e.g. The Beaver) to hype things up and this seasons design an outfit for Brooklyn to wear, was brilliant. But overall its predictable and feels very surface orientated - what's missing is the heart you see in Espanya and France and the sheer joy and creativity seen in UK or Philippines. Can see why this has become a WOW only show now and think it'll be dropping off my watchlist next year.
