I've watched The Mentalist twice, which is rare for me. Once I know what happens I can't re-watch it because my mind drifts because I don't have to try and figure out what the end result will be. I don't like going through and criticizing anomalies or imperfections as I couldn't do better. Until my name is listed on the credit's I don't think I won't be trying to impress upon others how cultured and cultivated my tastes are. If I don't find something satisfying I don't feel a need to condemn it, I simply move on to something else. It's entertainment and I view it as such so I can enjoy it more. My daughter when she was small used to watch a lot of animated movies including Toy Story. I see a strong resemblance between Rigsby and Buzz lightyear each time he comes into a scene. I find it humorous and it also brings back warm memories of when my daughter was small and we watched her shows together. It's sharing time with them more than anything and as they grow older those moments are less and those memory's are more meaningful. I think The Mentalist is good clean entertainment.
I'm a Native American so I probably enjoy this more because of that, I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons and now season 3.
As in almost all films there are things overlooked or inconsistencies that get your attention but don't seem worth bringing up. One, however, humored me in the scene where Bernadette Manuelito and her partner Ivan Munoz were running from Budge and his thugs by a small canyon. As Budge was looking over the edge and whistling you could see the trail the film crew used with sand bag steps going up in the background. One of the actors I went to Art school with in Sante Fe NM and another is the son of a friend of mine from Nevada so it added a great deal for me. I really like the series as it is and look forward to Season 4.
