As soon as it showed Edward being crowned in London and not Winchester (Winchester was the capital back then, London was only an important trading centre) I knew the "artistic license"changes would be ridiculous.
I will watch the remaining episodes and try not to grit my teeth too much; I have no issue with the modern style of dialogue because I'm not fluent in the languages of 11th century England and Europe.

Chef Jose Andres is a talented chef who is head of the wonderful World Central Kitchen; he's a very engaging guy and you can tell he's a close friend of Meghan's. They are relaxed and playful together and the episode seems to fly by. I liked how he took the camera at the end so that the cameraman could go and eat some of the paella.
I had limited knowledge about this sport but the trailer was compelling and I put the series on my watchlist; very pleased that I did.
Contrary to some of the clearly malicious 1 ⭐ reviews, this is a well made and interesting series and I found myself invested in the progress of the various teams and the featured players.
I don't buy the argument that "normal" people can't relate to people playing an elitist sport because we have millions of fans watching F1 etc.
Sport is sport: highly competitive individuals at the top of their game, participating in physicality dangerous sports.
Watch a couple of episodes and make your own mind up; I was hooked.
