The initial slow burn made me think that maybe the writers have put some thought into this movie and that I might get to see something new in the later parts.
But it ends up as just a string of cliched horror movie sequences with a very weak story. So cliched that even the broken-kitchen-crusher template comes up somewhere in the middle!
There are one or two good jump scares initially, but it gets very repetitive and annoying and boring after the mid-point. And not one thing lingers around in your mind after walking out of theater.

This episode gave us the classic Alien chills, thrills and kept us on the hook even though we knew how exactly it's going to end. If the previous episodes were half as intelligently written and made as this one, the series would have been already considered one of the great sci-fis.
The eye in the goat was the creepiest moment among all the otherwise inane and bland previous episodes. This episode further expands the eye's capabilities, and I love it. I hope we get to see a longer battle between the eye and xenomorph in future.

The show, especially season-1, is built on some original and clever ideas. The universe in this season has some unique constraints. The characters working with these constraints makes it an absolute fun and a very engrossing watch. Every character has an interesting and moving back story. Shiv, Archie, Janet, and Rebrov are the best characters. The background music is top notch, it makes us feel like we are watching some Nolan-esque movie.
Season-2 is also good, but it devolves into the same cliched convoluted time travel stories we have seen or read a million times.
The key negative in the show is the protagonist. The character is many a time annoyingly childish. The actor doesn't deliver the intensity where it's necessary and neither comes off as witty as he is supposed to be. Both the character and the actor pale in comparison to other characters and the respective actors, such as Shiv. Even a brief appearance of Colin Salmon in season-2 seems weightier than the entirety of the protagonist.
If they make season-3, I hope they do more of the brilliant main and backstories, and clever ideas like in season-1 and not redo what's already been done many times like season-2.
