I absolutely loved every minute of this show. It's refreshing, funny and original. Steve Martin and Martin Short are incredible together. It's like nothing else I've seen- a modern murder mystery that's simultaneously a love letter to Manhattan. Extremely well done.
This feels more like an extended episode than it does a movie, but I don't feel like this is necessarily a bad thing. El Camino covers Jesse's story with just the right amount of flashback scenes to paint a picture of what's been going on, without cramming in so much detail that you're left feeling it needs it own series. Lots of appearances from familiar faces but all done very fittingly and without it being 2 hours of cringeworthy and unnecessary cameos. I really enjoyed it, it's a slow burner but so was the series itself so it fits so well.
I really don't understand the bad reviews. We're a family of die hard Disney fans and I was so worried we would be let down after reading some of the comments on here. The film was absolutely stunning. There weren't many changes to the original dialogue but I didn't feel it would need it as it was so good already. Timon and Pumba were hilarious. Scar got us all riled up and *that* Mufasa scene was even more heartbreaking when viewed as live action. It was perfect.
