Let's be honest shall we. The book wasn't really that good. So going into this with an open mind and not foolishly expecting this to be "The Last Kingdom" or anything and judging purely on it's own merit, I found it to be enjoyable. Furthermore, if you were going to compare it to the book. I also found it to be a fair amount better. Some really detestable characters in the book were in fact changed to be more palatable and thank goodness they did. The young man of the cloth Samson comes to mind. In the book he is a greedy ,hateful, judgmental, manipulative, disgusting ahole, that frequently referred to Arthur's man as a "hell spawn" just for his pagan beliefs. In the tv show he is portrayed as a level headed trustworthy religious man... just an example. And well good then...i have no problem with careful and considerate changes like these that breathe new life into a very par/sub-par book, transforming the story into something worthwhile.
I just finished watching episode 7 and can't wait to watch the rest, even though I already know what happens. When it comes to adaptations, it's not often you get to feel that way. I for one, am all for ITVX's The Winter King. Hate the haters.

But then why would anyone put themselves through this or want to? There's really no good enough reason to do so unless you truly hate yourself. Brandon Frazier needs to stick to roles from such favorites as the "Dummy" for which he is well suited for. Additionally, it's obvious this was heavily sponsored by the Antonio Banderas gifted school of acting. But when i here such justifications like "it's not that bad" you're right, but it is that terrible. The tense moments with the cheesy synthesizes keyboard goes so poorly with the rest of the score, it mixes as if oil and water could make sound. Bad!
I dedicated an entire 30 minutes to suffering through this boring account only to find out the documentary is not even about bigfoot. Instead, the narrator repeatedly asks the question 'who is the author of the book titled The Creature'? Which is a first hand account of alleged encounters with bigfoot. They go on and on speculating who the author could be. So in short, the documentary ends up never even talking about bigfoot, only mentioned as an afterthought in regards to how bigfoot is described in the book. Suffice to say, it is a round about way to make a documentary that is supposedly centered around this mythical creature, and yet, it isn't. In other words, 30 minutes proved much too long to spend watching/listening to this garbage.
