As a long term fan of Tom Segura, I'm familiar with his humour. His early (dark,) Steven Segal pastiche years back, and the highly polished bits on YMH Live, always indicated he could present his uniquely 'dark thoughts' in such a compelling and funny way. Bad Thoughts is even a level above his previous work.
Great to see Rob Iler back acting, plus Tom is clearly able to assemble a strong supporting cast to help him execute his vision.
While I enjoy Tom's standup work greatly, I suspect this direction is his future. He and his collaborators can really bring his comedy to life in a way that probably hasn't been seen since Brass Eye.

Can't claim to be a Bert fan, just feel he probably should have aged out of this kind of comedy by now. It seems to be negatively impacting how he's perceived when he goes on podcasts (which I assume is a major channel to sell tickets for his shows.) The Two bears show is better when he's not there, and it looks like his Sober October group podcast has been discontinued.
I get the sense with Bert that his aim is to get a reality tv show similar to that of the Osbornes, with the focus of 'hilarious' things that happen in his domestic life.
The dog joke at the end was probably the joke of the set, but the punchline is super obvious.
On the plus side, it's better than Rogan & Bapa's last specials.

Think it's time to look for a new career. 2 specials, 0 laughs. It feels like he parodies other comedians. There's nothing compelling or funny in his act. His specials feel like an amateur less than a year in. He's been doing this for a while now.
