I will admit, this movie isn't perfect, but that it is still a must watch! The Spiderwick Chronicles is an amazing fantasy film.

We have a great story, likable characters, solid acting, cool action scenes, stunning visuals, and a wonderful score by James Horner.

My one criticism is how the film uses a few familiar cliches, but that's a minor issue.

As a result, I highly recommend checking this movie out, if you haven't seen it yet. And if you have already seen it, then I recommend watching it again. It really is that fantastic.

I mean my god, with all the poorly written dialogue, world-building, forgettable soundtrack, modern references and obnoxious comedy, I can't remember what the hell I just witnessed.

This movie is so bizarre in its existence. How can anyone greenlight this? How can anyone sign onto it? How can it get all these big name stars in such a stupid abomination.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but the Sony Smurf movies are much, much better. THIS... I don't know what this is and honestly, I don't care either.

It's a strange movie with wasted talents and the less I can remember it, the better.

I can't think of one good thing that this movie did.

You like ABBA, you want their songs be sung in a feature film, then this movie gives you exactly that!

Pros:

• Solid acting
• Great singing (obviously)
• Beautiful scenery

I will also add that Amanda Seyfried is the best singer of the movie in my opinion.

Cons:

• The lack of a plot
• Weak comedy
• (Almost) flat characters

Also, I'm not a big fan of Pierce Brosnan's singing.

I don't mind watching jukebox musicals, and honestly, there's no need to go and watch this movie, but it is also harmless, if you do consider checking this out.

It knows what it wants to be and does exactly that. Nothing more.
