The first two episodes of the series had me completely with light hearted gags and superficial struggles of Amol's character. However the story gets serious from episode 3 and ends in a way no one would have imagined after watching the trailer. The character choices are drawn heavily from Panchayat (web series) and hence do not feel fresh. Amol Parashar's attempt is honest but Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak and Akash Makhija are spot on. Garima Vikrant Singh however overshadows them all. I had last seen her in a daily soap called Nimki Mukhiya and had never imagined her doing such a role. Every single actor including the one who plays Sudhir has given his 100% but the story and character development is so abrupt that you cannot remain connected with anyone for long. The series does not stay with you after you complete it but does manage to keep you hooked through out. Probably because you want to see more of Vinay Pathak, but that never happens.
The story as I said is weak and is merely touching upon the struggles MOs have to face during their mandatory rural postings. The research is not proper and grounded. The screenplay also seems to have been written in haste. May be the makers were in a hurry to release it.
Goofs: 1. People are wearing sweaters in September.
2. The guy who delivers vaccine to MO should have come from CMO office, but comes from the direction of village.
3. Village people keep switching from bhojpuri to maghi and maithili.

The movie in short is Mission Impossible 6+ Force 2 + War 1. The only thing that manages to hold an otherwise scattered plot is Shahrukh Khan (The Kintsugi) with his enormous screen presence.
In YRF, we have extremely capable spies who are excellent in hand to hand combat but often fall for emotions. Emotions lead to betrayal but our hero sticks to his pre-determinations and follows his instincts rather than orders and guess what, he eventually wins!! No surprises!
There are some illogical sequences like those seen in the Fast and Furious series but they still offer a sight to behold. I have complaints with the VFX team as there are dull moments where even kids can identify that they are not real (like in the train fight scene, and the JETPACK sequence..... not to forget this.)
The movie is meant to be a massy masala action film for a good popcorn time watch and that's it. Going deeper trying to link abrupt sequences would give me a headache as there are too many. Pathaan takes painkillers and all his wounds disappear in the next scene. How the hell did Pathaan unscrew the whole chair while being tied to it. Pathan has the freedom to do anything, even knock his own men and no one is surprised. How the hell has John Abraham formed such a diversified team? The Old lady in Pathaan's family hasn't grown old in two decades. Pathan sees the jetpack for the first time and flies with it like a pro.. Awesome! What were the physical incapabilities or trauma of the members of JOCR? I guess they were just not as capable as Pathan. How did Dr. Sahani single handedly created such an iconic virus container...Trust me, Its description will blow away the minds of science lovers. Why is YRF so confused about RAW's budget in their spy universe? And the best thing... the 4k video call of John Abraham just before the climax! Mind blown!!
So friends, Pathan is here to break all the barriers. The only thing he didn't break in this movie was the fourth wall. Go and watch it raw and rough SRK . Enjoy!!

Watch it for the great visuals and pathbreaking way of presentation. Do not expect an extraordinary story, because it doesn't offer anything new. Further it is not at all connected to Indian mythology. Ayan Mukerjee has tried to play a safe game here. The characters do carry Indian values but the story doesn't. Brahmastra in this astraverse is an entirely different thing from what we know from our scriptures. So this is a completely different universe. Our demigods have no influence here. The screenplay is a little bit dark and there are some unexplained areas in the film. The dialogues are childish and character development is not executed well. Still the movie is watchable because it has over 400 crores invested in it and it is very much visible. The hard work put in the movie makes it spectacular and if you are going in for a popcorn fest movie, it has to be your pick. There are a couple of sequences that leave you dazed. Some awesome cameos lift your excitement and some dismal appearances leave you craving for more.
