The acting, writing and direction were all good. The only problem here was the low budget. I'd watch it again if I could see the version that was edited together into a feature length movie. I found the 1930's style serialization a little distracting, but not enough to take away from an enjoyable story. This fits right in with the feature film and the original story, working as a bridge between the movie and SG-1.
Definitely worth watching.
There is no break with the continuity of the story's history if you watch all the way through. Now that Amazon owns MGM, hopefully we will get the reboot or revival we've been waiting for.

While I (mostly) enjoyed the series, I believe it could have been better told.
I am a Star Wars fan, not a fanatic. I watch the movies & the Disney+ shows, but I could never get into the old cartoons (mediocre animation & poor scheduling) books & comics. I come in without the fanatic's preconceived expectations on EVERYTHING. I was satisfied with the writing & casting but felt that there was a bit too much filler added, It should have been tighter. Effects added just for the sake of showing what they can do. Pacing a little slow in spots. Characters not developed enough in some cases.
If you want viewers to come back for a 2nd season, have a cliffhanger or two. But don't leave so much unexplained or under-developed. Especially when it takes 2 years (minimum) to get a 2nd season.
I would like to see a 2nd season but if this is cancelled I expect at least a Disney+ movie to wrap up the story.
Side note. If you're going to call yourself a streaming service, stop acting like a network or channel.
Serve the viewers (customers) by actually streaming the episodes. All at once so we can binge without having to wait weeks or months. An episode each week is what the broadcast networks & cable channels do. Knock it off.

Very enjoyable. I'd like to show this to my grandson, but I'm afraid it may give him ideas.
