Main characters are great but secondary are just diversity spotlights. I.e. Scene little boy threatens an autobot if anything happens tk his brother and little boy never saw one before...literally who envisioned this scene but a person jacked up on delusions. Loses its realism, not bc of the robots, but the unrealistic snarky nonsense to try and make minorities look strong and relevant...the key scientist is a super smart black woman that outsmarts everyone. I guess since every movie company is going this direction, it makes you wonder if this part of the panderverse. Villains are solid and Optimus has character growth-this is good. Would be better if it linked into main characters army history and failing to save people in his squad and allies in war, and that would tie into the events of the movie for a second chance.

Basically, over emphasized and exaggerated people we'd expect to be cast aside by any true to the character intelligent indy.

Basically a big part of the character growth is just trusting yourself over others and that's pretty much it. A long cycle to finally end up there. It was entertaining to kill time on a plane ride, but ended weird and not real satisfaction. Drawn out...really drawn out and if we're honest-predictable. Would've given it 6 stars for the visual effects but it was just obvious so got three steps ahead and had to wait so long for it to just catch up...think it would've been better if they would've include a key villain, better lessons and just tie it together quicker. I think they had some reveals to carry the story but lost the charm somewhere in the telling of it.
