This has to be one of the best episodes I've seen in a long time. Hostage episodes are such a hallmark of Law & Order, but this one truly shook me to my core. The emotional intensity was off the charts, and it really had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I can't help but worry, though, that this might mark the beginning of the end for Carisi. I've just started to really warm up to him as an ADA-he's come a long way since his detective days-but we all know how the cast tends to rotate in and out. I really hope I'm wrong because losing him now would hit hard. I'm so excited to see the upcoming episodes now 😭
I have been locked into SVU for many many years and have been yet to be disappointed. The theme in and of itself is gripping, the storylines of each episode are so gripping you can't resist. Moreover, as a woman, I have learnt how to handle one of the worst traumas a living person can experience. If you're tempted to watch the show, let this review act as the motivation you need. The arcs each character undergoes is excellent. You will find yourself emotionally attached to each detective and victim alike. And the due process the ADAs will conduct shows an element of humanity most viewers will wish to attain.
