The idea was there. You can't go wrong with Ryan Reynolds in my book and he was good. The ending was nice but something was off. The pacing was uneven. At once too much and too little exposition. It all just felt so...odd. My 10 year old liked it but for me, even in a fantasy, things need to make some sense and this just didn't. I think it had a lot of potential and maybe with a couple of rewrites it could have gotten there. The budget was sky high and had it been good word of mouth would have made it a success. But it just wasn't good, despite a cast who truly tried their best. Some good moments but overall, just no.

Not sure why people are being so hard on Disney lately. It's honestly strange that so many are bothered by their attempt at diversity.

The reviews for "Wish" were terrible and went so far as to accuse Disney of using AI to write it. I am so glad I didn't listen and took my kid to see it.

The film was great. Are there some clumpy dialog and song lyrics? Sure. But the story and characters are engaging, the villain is great, the animal sidekicks are adorable and the film is very fast-paced. There's a lot to love here. Honestly, a mediocre Disney film is a lot better than a good film from other studios. It's time people give Disney a break and start to appreciate the love and effort that go into their films.

I hope more people go to see "Wish" and make it the success it deserves to be.

It makes me sad that people who grew up in the 90s have a problem with the diversity of this show. The 90s were a time when we were taught about our differences and how to embrace and accept each other not in spite of, but because of them. It sickens me that so many people missed that and are still homophobic and racist for no reason. Open a book, have someone teach you how to read and educate yourselves.

As for this not being an anthology, that is a refreshing take. I am invested and I am hooked in the characters and the overarching mystery.

Have any of you watched the 90s version recently? It is not good. Sure, the nostalgia of it is fun but it's beyond cheese: it's cheese whiz. So the fact that this is different is a GOOD thing. I seriously wonder how these people function in the world. Oh no, a gay character. I must turn this off. "It's distracting." Oh no, my child is confused and asks why the characters are so weird cause he's never seen a gay person before. He's too young! Unless your child is dumb as hell, they did not ask you that "every two minutes," so chill.

For anyone who lives in this century, likes goosebumps and is able to accept that this is a modern version very different but similar to the original show, then give it a chance. Been watching with my 9 year old and we're both riveted.
