I am Mohsen Saberi. 34 years old.

Where did it start?
I was too young to go to the cinema by myself. I had taken my older sister to get a permit for her presence. I definitely did not understand anything about the neighbor's red. But that big display screen in that volume of darkness, could I not be enchanted?
The protests and dirty hands born in the month of Mehr and Muwaii 3 were not suitable for a ten-twelve-year-old child, but, well, I was already open to cinema.
It was 81 or 82 that I discovered the festival. The halls were the usual cinema halls. The curtain is the same curtain. But the days of the festival were getting bigger. I forced myself between the crowd waiting behind the cinema doors and entered the hall with the wave of people. My step didn't even reach the shoulders of the elders, but I was in such a state that watching a movie with a famous person who was sitting in the front would make me a head higher than my peers.
I got to know the Hollywood cinema when I was tired of other festivals. I started and saw the movie "animal" as Nabokov said. There were times when I sat at the system for twelve or thirteen hours non-stop to finish, for example, a season of a series.

Why cinema?
Why? Because I like the story. Because whatever is expressed with the story, it involves me. It's not as if it's all a fantasy and everyone is an actor and the stories are unlikely to happen in the real world. I stand with them at moral dilemmas and struggle with myself about what I do in such places.

Still?
I don't have much time to go to the cinema, nor to watch movies at home. Of course, like those times, I am not involved in any film or filmmaking. However, I always try to include it in my life; An inseparable part of my programs.

where are you now?
I have been running the art academy for several years. I deal with young boys and girls whose love is to become writers, filmmakers, photographers, etc., and it is my pleasure to help them get closer to the dream of being an artist and understanding art. When I have time, I write short stories and sometimes notes and articles for magazines and newspapers. And of course, we watch two movies every week with the study group of AyeduCinema and discuss them.
