The first thing you'll notice when you watch a trailer of this movie, or the actual movie itself, is the art style and animation. It's really well done and does a great job of matching the child-like aesthetic that the books this movie is based on had to offer. Watching it felt like watching the comics come to life on the screen.
Another big thing I noticed was the pacing of this movie. A lot of people might get turned off by how breakneck the pacing is, with major events being added around every 5 minutes. But, in my opinion, this is a good thing because thats how the books that this movie was based on are. And with the brisk pacing also comes some surprisingly funny scenes. I didn't expect to laugh this much to a lot of the childish humor but its executed in an amazing way and never feels dull or repetitive.
Overall it's a great movie, but it might be too confusing to people who haven't read the Dog Man comics because it skims over a lot of important information pretty quickly.

The first big thing I noticed when the movie started was how great the cinematography was. Each shot was very well-placed and did a great job of drawing your attention to where it wants you to. The second big thing I noticed was the amazing acting of Naomi Scott. She felt very authentic and did a great job of encapsulating the paranoia and spasticity of her situation. The third big thing I noticed was how terrifying it was. Each moment of terror is seamlessly woven into the story to create a well-paced horror movie that holds up the whole way. It takes the fear and gore of the first one and turns it up to an 11. If you've seen the first one, the second one is sure to blow you away. Just remember, though, that you are not prepared to see what will unfold.
Coming into this film I had heard it was an incredible movie, but I did not expect to have my mind flipped upside down every ten minutes. Every scene in this movie had me on the edge of my seat, waiting to see what was going to happen. One of the things that makes this film so incredible is its relentless buildup of tension. I was constantly uneasy because somehow it only kept getting more unstable. This tense, unapologetic tension, coupled with incredible cinematography, a brilliant score, and witty storytelling makes this a solid 10 for me. And the ending. The ending caught me completely off-guard, but it only made the movie more enjoyable.
