Clasificación de Protestator
A very realistic depiction of the everyday professional life of a nurse. The atmosphere in the film is excellent, so much anxiety, stress and lack of time, that it often causes a raw mixture of emotions in the viewer. From anger, tension, to sympathy with the main character and hope for people. An excellent choice of characters, where each, in their own way, shows a certain type of human character and each, in their own way, affects the main protagonist. The camera is exceptional and through the entire film fantastically portrays the events almost exclusively following the main character. Dialogues are short, very realistic and meaningful. Leonie Benesh, in the role of the nurse who carries the plot of the film, is fascinating. And the rest of the actors, in the roles of patients, are up to the task. Although, in several moments, I had to collect my thoughts, due to too many memories that certain scenes evoked, the film is really excellent. Perhaps it is not for those who carry too much trauma from the hospital, because there is too little fiction and too much reality.
A solid film, with an interesting theme, relatively logical plot development and very good acting by Taraji Henson, assisted by Sherri Shepherd. The rest of the cast is not so bright. One can see a great effort to point out certain problems in everyday life, which relate to the life of single mothers, health, the position of workers, and especially the position of the black population and the attitude of the law enforcement agencies towards them. This effort is greatly overemphasized in many situations in the film, so that the scenes seem very forced, as if the premise is forced upon the viewers, as well as the conclusion they need to draw, even though it is, in itself, obvious. The policewoman's conclusion that the main character DEFINITELY has nothing to do with the robbery, without any proof, like many other situations. There are very few white characters in the film and as expected, they are all absolutely negative. I know that this is a common feature of such films, especially in the production of Tyler Perry, but for someone from a country where there are no racist problems, this sharp division into "good and bad" based on skin color is very unfamiliar and forced to me. Even the representative of the FBI, who should show the cliché of the fight between the services for jurisdiction, is primarily shown as a white racist, and not as a representative of the FBI who, by rank, is "stronger". All in all, the film, primarily because of the acting of the main actress, is worth watching.
Once upon a time, when there were video stores, there was, on the shelves, an arrangement of films by genre, but also by popularity. And then, in every video store, at some point, you had a shelf on which there were random movies, which, due to bizarre circumstances, were found in the video store and on which there was a thick layer of cobwebs, because no one ever rented them. Under that shelf, there was often a box with "art" even worse than the one on the shelf in the corner, waiting for the worker not to be too lazy and to finally take them to the dumpster. This, at best, deserves a position in a dumpster-ready box.
There is no way to describe how bad this movie is and how it manages to fail in every possible area. The scenario is catastrophic. For more than 90 minutes of the film, there is practically no action, no meaningful activity. The dialogues are completely meaningless, illogical and so badly written that it's not even funny. A special category is the content of "guardian" sentences, places and the way they are pronounced. The directing is below every category of professionalism. It is especially bizarre that this is a film that supposedly explores essential themes, human interactions, etc. Absolutely laughable. Don't be fooled by the many scores reviewers have given the film.
If you look a little, you will see that only one high rating was given by a reviewer who previously had a comment on IMDB. All other scores and revisions were given by auditors for whom it was the first review, most likely members of the film crew. Skip this nonsense and don't put yourself in a situation where you irretrievably lose ninety minutes.
