Look, i am no cinephile. I enjoy popocorn films, i enjoy entertainment. I am not expectating a masterpiece.
But, point of reference, I had seen F1 the week before. And you can't avoid feeling frustrated. Because where F1 makes you feel hopeful, energized, victorious, this one feels...meh...
What i don't understand is, where are the artists, the criativity, the nuance? Why do most blockbusters feel emotionally flat?
Ignore that they are trying to recycle some of the most iconic scenes from the previous films...but why does everything feels uninspired, lazy and flat?
I love Jurassic Park, i like Scarlett and Ali...it at should have been original and emotional, not numbing and predictable...

My god why?
I am a lover of entertainment. I respect the films by what they are. That is why i love(d) fast and the furious franchise, mission: impossible, heck, i loved the other guys and movies like that. And i loved the first movie, the old guard.
But what is this? Half a movie? And so poorly paced, made, no momentum, no passion or ideas.... how does netflix do it? How can it aim and achoe the worst possible outcome?? That is why alghoritms are no match for criativity and art. Aiming at everyone, the please no one. It sucks.
I wish they let writera write and produce good content. Look at Apple. They are killing it!

Me and my amazing were looking for a fun light saturday movie to kill time...and we ended crying so much...what the hell??
It is not a complain...it was a wonderful surprise. With so much love, so much heart, I felt the warm embrace of family, of love, and of forgiveness. We both live in Malaysia away from our family, so it's touched us in a special way, and we felt the weight and power of the themes.
At the end of the day, this is what movies should be about. About heart, about simple themes that are beautiful told and reach your heart in a meaningful way. I loved it, my wife love it, and we both cried like babies.
Thank you.
