I just cried at this movie. I was a bit sceptic at the beginning but the acting is great!
The dad nails it acting the naive 50s male that does not understand new dynamics and regarding being a friend.
It has different points where people can feel identified.
It's easy to follow and I didn't distracted since everything was interesting. The way it was developed has interesting peak points.
The message at the end is great in different levels.
I'm not evaluating higher since there are other factors that while no needed, are not involved.
If you want a beautiful movie, go to see this.
I highly recommend it.

The movie falls short as it tries to follow the typical formula of a person who hasn't lived their life in Mexico.
It relies on clichés like tacos, dancing, and visiting iconic places. While this approach can work in some cases, here it feels forced.
Everyday elements of Mexican life are portrayed more as parody than reality, which is expected from films of this type.
People at the cinema seemed to enjoy it, as there were some laughs.
However, the representation of diversity felt forced - including a blonde police officer, an Argentinian priest, and lesbian characters.
While I understand the intent to reflect the population, it doesn't feel authentic.
One interesting aspect was the soundtrack, which featured some cover versions.
