Not quite sure how this got close to seven stars. Undeniably a much overrated movie with lots of star power and not a lot of substance.

I watched this movie with lots of high hopes, based on a solid rating, and was totally disappointed. I enjoy many of the actors and actresses in this movie, including Christopher Walken and Lawrence Fishbourne, but couldn't make a whole lot of sense of this movie. Basically a rip off of a much better " New Jack City". But at least that movie had a storyline I could follow. Wish I had better things to say about this movie, there are better ways to kill an evening.

This is definitely not your typical Christmas movie. Which why I was somewhat hesitant to watch it, I'll be honest, just about loved every second of this. As always, Dwayne Johnson was solid in a familiar role as Santa's bodyguard, and always entertaining. J K Simmons was spot on at Santa, as was Bonnie Hunt as Mrs Claus. Chris Evan's portrayal as a troubled Dad trying to bond with his son, hit a little too close to home.

The movie itself was able to combine snippets from several movies ranging from The Santa Claus with Tim Allen, to Star Wars. This is another of Amazons foray into moving making that I greatly enjoyed, the first one being The Tomorrow War. Which coincidentally stars, J K Simmons.

Can be a little dark at times, and maybe not for the little ones, but definitely worth the watch.

Could not watch the end of this movie, because I knew how it was going to end. I Had already seen the Ridley Scott classic film, Aliens 2 several times, and this movie very rarely deviated from that script.

In fifty-nine years, I'm not quite sure if I have ever watched a movie that was so blatantly ripped off from another. Really the only minor difference was that Aliens 2, was set an hour space, where this piece of trash, was set in a post apocalyptic Venice. From the storyline, to the characters, save yourself sometime and watch a very movie, Aliens 2, with Bill Paxton in one of his best roles.
