Acting ,directing, and style are all on point. If anything it's too ambitious thank god for that apple money because they pull it off. The epic shots sequences and amazing locations are ambitious and reminds you of what film should be . It's so smart that Seth Rogan is making fun studio excess while shooting in excess . The comedy is real and the acting is amazing. I'm sure writing this was as much fun as making it , weird Apple the "new comer" is doing something so creative that the old studios haven't. The dichotomy of this whole project makes it funny but also make it intriguing how is Apple able to pull this together is impressive. Hats off to the whole team it's a new iteration of extras but a lot more advanced. The jokes are smart and they got actors embroidered in their own issues to come and make fun of it . Very smart and funny.

So Jamie foxx is a talented guy guy but him going over his greatest hits reminding the audience of what the majority appears to be his church of why he is loved was less than entertaining. I know he's multi talented an actor, a singer and a comedian but this was a Comedy special not a conversion opportunity . Way too heavy in the conversion and on reminding you on why he's relevant but very little on the comedy . I'm a Christian and appreciate the attempt to bring strangers to Jesus but this was a very weird attempt at a comedy special. It was more a sermon than a standup and I can appreciate he's gone through a lot and been reborn but it feels like he's had a real crisis of confidence and while I'm glad he's back and healthy it's weird to see a man of his stature need to remind himself in public in a comedy special he's "important" but my problem is there were very few jokes and most were only about him and his status. Him being ray Charles or jango isn't impressive it's a recipe to be forgotten. He still got something but hopefully he gains sa bit more perspective and writes some original material that has nothing to do with his existing celebrity z.

As soon as Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney I had my reservations. I figured Disney would Disneyfy the franchise but I held out I mean Lucas was trying to do kiddy niche stuff too dare I bring up jar jar but this show really went all in on Disney cliche . I know they've loved kid actors and have ensured their supremacy since the Mickey Mouse club (um Ryan gosling which I'm surprised isn't the lead ) but the kid angle is too much . First, kid actors are incredibly difficult to get right even the goonies is clunky and poorly acted and they turned out to be generational so I was skeptical. 2nd, we were used to at max one star war a year if not one per 3 or 5 years now every quarter a new series and no surprise they under cooked it and booked kids because of corse kids have always likes Star Wars . 3rd not even a great actor like Jude Law could overcome the cutsy kid angle. Disney literally saw stranger things and was like we can do that kid stuff too . Yikes . Disney has always known it has a captivated audience and it doubled nah tripped down on Star Wars so we watch it . Of course we do and it was entertaining enough but at some point they'll overcook it do much it's unpalatable. They almost did it on this one . Disney please read and abide my warning : kids even extremely talented kids are too tough and untalented to ensure a robust dramatic show don't go all in.
