Most Bollywood comedies these days are already scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to quality - but Housefull 5A and 5B manage to go even lower. There isn't a single genuinely funny moment. Instead, you get a tired parade of ageing Bollywood men playing over-the-top perverts around much younger women, who themselves seem to be doing everything except actual acting.

I gave it a fair shot - 10 minutes of normal viewing, followed by 20 minutes in fast-forward, desperately hoping to find at least one witty line, clever scene, or anything worth watching. Nothing. Just repetitive gags, lazy writing, and cheap humor that feels outdated by at least two decades.

What baffles me is how some people gave it rave reviews. Either their taste in comedy is wildly different from mine, or we watched entirely different movies. The script is weak, the dialogues are flat, and there's no real story holding it together. Even Akshay Kumar, who has rescued bad films in the past with his timing and charm, couldn't save this trainwreck.

If this is what passes for a "laugh riot" in Bollywood now, I'd rather rewatch old classics than sit through this kind of nonsense again.

I know many viewers may not agree with my 9-star rating for this movie, but I've probably added a couple of stars just to encourage the kind of cinema we've been missing for years. Honestly, I've lost interest in most Bollywood films-maybe it's a mid-life thing (I'm 39 now)-but every once in a while, I take my family out for a movie, maybe once every three months. For me, the only motivation is a good family film: something with laughs, clean content, and a storyline we can all enjoy together.

This film ticked all those boxes. No vulgarity, no awkward scenes that would make my old-school parents (in their mid-60s) uncomfortable, and nothing inappropriate for my 7-year-old daughter. It felt like the kind of quality family time that's hard to come by in today's cinema.

Yes, Bhul Chuk Maaf isn't perfect. It could definitely have been better, especially in the second half where it leans more into social messaging rather than sticking to its light-hearted tone. But most of the storyline has its moments, and there are a couple of genuinely beautiful songs too.

In today's time, I've learned to keep my expectations low-otherwise, you'll find flaws in everything. All said and done, this was a good one-time family entertainer. I'd say, go for it.

Honestly couldn't figure out the objective of this film. Was it trying to deliver a social message? Was it supposed to promote organ donation? Or was it simply a disjointed attempt to cash in on Salman Khan's stardom without offering any meaningful content?

The movie is painfully boring, riddled with clichés and flat, uninspired dialogues. Within the first 15-20 minutes, I found myself fast-forwarding, hoping something interesting might eventually unfold. Spoiler: it didn't. I watched it on Netflix-and honestly, I feel sorry for those who wasted time and money watching this disaster in a theatre.

The acting is lackluster, the songs are forgettable, and the story goes nowhere. There's no emotional depth, no coherent narrative, and certainly no payoff. In short, Sikandar is a textbook example of how not to make a film.
