I don't normally write poor reviews but this was just not good. There's only been 1 episode released so far but the story is convoluted in an un-ironic way just feels like badly written fan fiction. This is also coming from someone who loved The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker so I hope that puts my distaste into perspective as I'm a person who tries to find the positive in art. This show felt like an obscure anime from the 2000's that nobody ever heard about because it was never dubbed into English or made it to the international stage, only in this case it was and it did, respectively, purely because it also starred characters from a more successful series and it didn't deserve the attention it got. My opinion of this show actually became more negative after typing this. Wow.
This is by no means a "blockbuster," but it doesn't have to be. This not-for-profit fan film was meant to inspire creators by celebrating Miyazaki and showing how much can be done with virtually no budget and a wellspring of passion.
The cinematography alone ought to demonstrate the purpose behind this film. This is nothing less than a love letter to one of the greatest storytellers of the current age.
Chris Tex managed to bring this decades old story to life and I look forward to seeing how this crew's talents grow.
For the sake of meeting the required number of characters, blah blah blah 😆

Centuries ago, the Pope banished the faerie folk from the sun-soaked land to the bleak and cold underdark, ending a thousand-year war between our race and theirs.
Today, a lone goblinoid called Booba has traversed the tunnels of Gloomdaste and emerged from the Prison Gates of Fey Duun only to find the once proud Overworld.... abandoned. Where have the enemies of underrealm gone? What manner of fate has befallen humanity? Will Booba meet this same end as he explores the devastated landscape in search of answers? He must continue on his quest for the world of men has come to an end. Now begins the age of Booba.... -------- This show is so annoying that the only way I can sit through it is by making up terribly dark backstories for the ridiculous characters, but I do it for my 4 year old daughter who LOVES Booba 😩. I guess it isnt a bad show. It's silly and the animation is pretty good, I just find it am uncomfortable watch. But for real, where are the people at? He spends every episode breaking into homes and businesses trashing everything he interacts with and practically without consequences! Is it too difficult to add in a few human adults or kids to act as voices of reason and Booba and his weird friends wreck everything?
