Superb film. It's arguably better than its immediate predecessor as well.
Kinds of Kindness also has a David Lynch quality to it in terms of mystery and the need for gap filling.
What the film nevertheless conveys, clearly (to your reviewer's mind, at least), is a refreshingly dark and indicting view of human nature. There are heavy focuses on abuses of power and control, the desire to be controlled and to satisfy/please the controllers, instances of both perverse love/love of people for terrible reasons and doing horrible things to oneself and others out of love.
It has some hysterical and truly shocking moments --though there were some instances where I might have been the only one laughing in the theater (e.g., human roadkill).
You will probably be thinking and talking about this film for quite some time after you've finished watching it.
