I didn't know what to expect, but anything starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow (not to mention the gorgeous Isabella Rossellini who didn't have a huge role, but was powerful nonetheless) had to be worth watching. I was mesmerised from the outset. I felt like I'd been let into a secret society; one that I knew very little about.
Absolute stellar performances from the entire cast. The sets, lighting, wardrobe, writing, directing, and camera crews all deserve a huge mention too. Attention to detail was obvious.

The year was 1969. I was 8 years old. My small school in suburban Melbourne Australia had hired a TV set which was about the size of a microwave oven. The entire school was assembled in the hallway. The TV was attached to the ceiling in the hallway and every child sat cross-legged on the floor, looking upwards at the tiny screen.
We watched the grainy telecast of men in spacesuits climb down a ladder and walk on the moon. All the teachers were crying. Us kids knew we were witnessing something special. We were spellbound. As an 8 year old, it was hard to fathom that we were watching this extraordinary event at the same time as the rest of the world.
Last week I sat in awe and reminisced about that time in my young life when I went to see Fly Me To The Moon. What a fabulous movie this is! I smiled all the way through it. Outstanding performances by the entire cast. Bravo!
Was the landing a hoax? You be the judge. I know one thing...I'm going back to see the movie again tomorrow! 🌒

Watched the first episode on TV and had to binge the rest on iView. What a beautiful and heart warming series. Michael Theo...what a star! I hope we see more of this great talent on our screens.
