Really well made documentary that peels back the layers of Ed and the challenges and adversity he has encountered during the past year. You come away feeling like you know him as a person and you can really sympathise with what he has been through. It can be easy to forget that global megastars are human too and have real lives and struggles just like anyone else but this documentary is such a good reminder of that. More than him being an incredibly talented person - he comes across as just a really genuine, humble and good man. Deserves all the success he has had. Booked tickets to see him in Nashville as soon as we finished watching the documentary! Can't wait!

My fiancé was really excited about seeing this one and I was quite happy to give it a go as the trailer seemed quite promising. I wish we hadn't. Essentially it feels like watching a young woman struggle through mental illness for 111 minutes, sporadically interrupted by pompous royal servants telling her that she's late to dinner. I know it was 111 minutes precisely because each one of them was pretty excruciating to sit through. I've given it 2.0 based solely off the fact that Kristen Stewart does a fairly decent impression of Princess Diana but it's not good enough to make up for the issue of it being one of the most boring films of all time. NOTHING HAPPENS. I get that they've tried to be clever by making a film set over a short period of time to give a snapshot of her life but the result is a movie that lacks any plot whatsoever and makes you feel relieved when the credits eventually roll. Honestly...one of the worst things I've ever sat through and I've seen Nacho Libre.
