I remember being 8 and watching Christopher Reeves Superman, and I loved it. It was the best movie ever, and a best superhero. I wanted to be Superman, and tonight it was great seeing my son loving this Superman.

He said it was fun, that everyone needs friends to help each other, and that the dog was great, and that's probably the biggest endorsement for this movie, it was made for the next generation.

For me personally, I didn't like this softer, more vulnerable Superman that gets beaten up, and needs rescuing several times, I didn't like the boss girl, weak man relationship between Louis Lane and Clark Kent/ even Superman, and I'm not impressed with the new guy, the actor who is playing Superman. He was the weak link actors wise.

It's definitely more softer, funnier version, goofiest, but it is still very entertaining. The side characters actually had a purpose, the villains were well developed, and Lex was excellent, the actor Nicholas Hunt has proven once more that he can take a character and make it its own.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. This movie is not a big budget blockbuster, but it has some really, really solid actors( I think Mila Jovovich is very underrated), an easy enough story to understand and follow and with enough plot twists to keep a viewer engaged.

Acting was good, not brilliant, but again solid.

I for one find it much more engaging and entertaining then most of the other movies I have seen in 2024.

I don't want to go into explaining a story as it is simple enough, but at the core of its - what would a person do to help a stranger, how far they are willing to risk and what could be the consequences of decisions made.

I would recommend this to anyone looking to find a 90 minutes entertainment.
