I think I've maybe seen this film once all the way through prior to this viewing and it must have been early to mid '80's
Didn't remember a lot about it but always remember a lot of hype and many of my 'filmy' friends singing its praise to this day
So sat down and watched it again and......well it's not very good! It's not terrible but even taking into account the films we used to watch in the early 80's, this feels very clunky and basically doesn't have much of story line
Comparing it to films from this time it still comes up short hence the 'never meet your heroes' title
Shame as I wanted it to be good and it wasn't :(
