You won't see a lot of CGI effects in the drama. You can't expect many fight scenes in the drama. But you will see very nice fighting scenes especially in the character of "Shan Guang Tou. " This is a low budget drama which is based on a Wuxia novel. With such a low budget, I think they all did well. Acting, script, character development, effects, all good. And Shan Guang Tou's fighting scenes, just few, but these few will make you feel breathtaking. I'd recommend this drama rather to the ones who like to watch romance more than the martial arts. But you will still see martial arts in the drama.

Ashes of love, I think it's a really really good drama. It has already had a good plot. When the plot was combined with the actors' acting performance, CGI effects, beautiful script and as the last the music, "Ashes of love" becomes really a good drama. In the actors, I mean all and not only one. All the characters have character developments and own emotions. It's the point really. The script did manage to show each character very well. Especially, Runyu, even he can be said as villain, actually not, the script style made him a real man with human behaviors. I love him. 😆 You will know when you watch it what I am talking about. I strongly recommend the drama if you are at the step to Chinese dramas.
