The movie is a family relationship drama. Spell binding performances from Manoj Bajpai, Sharmila Tagore and Amol Palekar. Cinematography is very nice, right from the start of the movie, the tone of a family drama is set. Music also compliments the theme of the movie quite nicely. The film highlights the modern day family issues from a different aspect. Makes you think about your own family. The script holds tight through out the movie. Dialogue delivery has been very well executed, some credits to the director there. Its a must watch for every Indian family to go back to our roots from the daily hustle-bustle.
The only good thing about this movie was John Abraham. Movies like this get a very grand opening but fade away pretty soon. Pathan was a success because of the following reasons:
A. Shahrukh Khan coming in big screen after such a huge gap.
B. A cheap and masaledar song which looked very cheap and vulgar in the name of sensuality. Yes we still have that audience who have the capability to make a movie a hit just for a song.
C. Too many number of shows, Every multiplex was showing this movie in at least 2-3 screens all throughout the day. I remember, this was the same strategy to make Ra-One a hit.
