An audio, visual, colourful, charming, nostalgic delight! Would've loved to see yoshi's and Daisy too!
Maybe they'll be featured in a future sequel! This movie is a definite must watch not only for fans but for newbies as well.
Nice entertainment accompaniment before or after your universal theme park visit or generally as a pick me up also.
I watched this at home on Netflix on August-9,2024.
Nice to see video game elements like power ups & sound tracks seamlessly incorporated into the plot.
Eagerly awaiting the sequel and hope they make this into a series with multiple entries. Invariably reminded me of my childhood playing this as my first console video game fondly!

This felt like the rural Indian ( Rajasthani ) adaptation of: I spit on your grave, with the opposite gender as the avenger.
A decent one time watch, this Netflix movie also has some nice scenic captures of the rural Indian desert landscapes. The supporting characters & their motivations could've been better.
Fatima Sana needs to do more work and this also seems to be Harshvardhan's better suited roles while Satish Kaushik seems to have got typecasted into the obese sidekick that inevitably dies.
Dunno whether it was the makeup or not but this was the first movie in which Anil Kapoor actually looks his age😂

Having watched just the first 2 episodes of this series, It's safe to say that Jamnadas Majethia needs to refresh his fictional family setup. This easily passes off as a stale Sarabhai knockoff. To avoid being this it needs a totally new outlook.
Multiple similarities with Sarabhai of which a few are: Rich & high class Gujarati family in Mumbai, English correction & teaching amongst family members, getting lost in their own idiosyncrasies, daughter with a funny/weird, thinking/replying approach in son-in law etc.
I have no issue in him repeating few of his previous actors in his new works - he does the same in his present other work Wagle ki Duniya (which seems better than this as of now?) Have to wait & watch, maybe this will get better down the line?
