I swear they are changing up everything from the books just for the sake of it, because they're definitely not adding anything of substance. Tonally dissonant, bland and casual, this show needs a refresh for next season.
Charon, Procrustes, Hades, the pearls, Asphodel; nothing is the same and every change has no purpose or effort beyond it behind the surface level idea of generating a tiny amount of tension or subtlety, which inexplicably always fails.
Underworld looks good effects wise, but nowhere close to how it's described in the books. It's still baffling how they've fumbled what should've been an easy adaptation.
