I signed up to Disney due to the Marvel movies and the hype around the streaming shows.....I've been through Wanda which was okay, FatWS which was like being told off in detention, not fun and Loki which was a real disservice to the character.

So onto What If?.... And whilst the idea is interesting and the animation very good (what you'd expect from Disney) I cannot make it through any of these short episodes without falling asleep, drifting off or just turning off. I'm not sure why but there's something not quite right about it that I can't put my finger on, it doesn't hold interest or attention.

Disney subscription has been cancelled, it all has got a bit boring.

Without hearing anything in the lead up it was a pleasant surprise to see a new revamped legend of a animation series that was pivotal to 80's kids viewing.

Remembering all the action figures of my childhood and the main characters of the original show I hoped to reconnect simply for nostalgia, for a time when things seemed more pure.

How disappointed I was. Without He-Man in the title I should have known better, I should have known there would be a different focus, I should have known it couldn't be just an innocent reincarnation of the original, I should have known the current and pervasive gender-politics propaganda push would find it's way in.

It's just such a shame movies, animation and revamps all have the same unsubtle messaging, it's a sad time for the industry.

It's a half decent idea for a movie with a large budget but the execution is pretty poor. It was the trailer that raised expectations so it was disappointing to sit through this bore fest. Everything just felt forced, the characters were incredibly annoying to the point 1 hour in I was hoping that the zombies would kill the team of idiots and be done with it.

You'd think it would be fairly straightforward to create a bit of excitement or tension or anything really but it just doesn't happen. It just kind of crawls through the minutes with predictable outcomes to random moments.

The only character of any presence is big bad Dave but he almost gets shuffled into the background as if they have used him to gain an audience to sucker people in to watch it.

The most disturbing thing of all is how Netflix have managed to make a zombie heist movie into a social commentary, it's more subtle than some but it's there in all its underlying themes.

It's a sad tale of the times.
