Wow! What a season and what a finale. This season felt like a season of Curb Your Enthusiasm as it was so star studded with A-listers. Props to Dave for writing in the opening scene with Rachel MacAdams and manifesting what has likely been a goal of his for many years. Brad Pitt is as calm as his Cliff Booth character in this suspenseful season finale. I thought the ending was cute but didn't give the audience complete fulfillment. It seemed like this could've been a very satisfying end to the show, but I suppose there needs to be room for further character development in the next season. This season overall has been super strong and at its peak.
To be fair, I somewhat enjoyed this show. But Netflix prematurely compared this to The Office and flaunted its All-Star cast. It had its moments but Steve Carell's voice made me buy cough drops and it made me mute the show and read from subtitles. John Malkovich was fantastic as always and I was happy with the amount of screen time he got as the conscience of the show. Some characters are just way too dumb and I would never disagree with someone that said they didn't like it. If you don't like it after 2 episodes then move on because it isn't going to change.
