The story of the film is a great concept about a man who comes to suspect he is the reincarnation of someone murdered decades prior. However, the film itself has poor pacing and is longer than it needs to be. This would work much better if the film was cut down to a crisp 90 minutes. Another huge problem is the later relationship feels deeply wrong considering the main character openly claims Ann Curtis is his daughter from a previous life. Also, the quick second flashboards get incredibly annoying, almost seizure inducing at times.
Casting in the film is also highly questionable. Margot Kidder looks laughable in her old lady makeup. There is no reason for it outside wanting to have her in flashbacks during the 1940s. In fact, Margot Kidder (mother Marcia Curtis) and Jennifer O'Neill (daughter Ann Curtis) are the same age despite playing mother and daughter. I don't understand why anyone thought this casting was a good idea.
In fact, it would work better if Jennifer O'Neill played both the daughter Ann and her mother in the flashback scenes. It would better sell the idea that Ann looks just like her mother 30 years ago, and maybe better sell how Peter Proud falls in love with her.
The psychologist is also hugely problematic considering he just buys everything Peter tells him about reincarnation. Most trained psychologists would be a bit more skeptical and act as the logical scientific foil to reincarnation mysticism. It is a lost opportunity to put doubt to the viewer. That the main character might be crazy or forcing things he sees in real life to fit his dreams.
Also, I don't like how Peter's original girlfriend (maybe fiancé) just disappears halfway through the film and is completely forgotten about. You could remove her entirely from the film and it would make no difference. Yet, she and the psychologist could provide excellent voices of reason and doubt. It is just such a lost opportunity.

It is like they hired Mr. Beast based on his thumbnails only to learn he is a terrible voice actor. He is so flat and unemotional when he is supposed to be some energetic ringmaster for gladiatorial games. The Mandarin voice over is also so flat and boring. It feels disconnected from the story. Later, the lead actress kisses another actresses out of nowhere that feels more Edgelord BS to shock someone than part of the story. We know nothing about these gladiators other than they are in great shape and can ride dinosaurs. So, I don't care when they each die or when one of them kisses another. Nor do I care when one somehow develops a kinship with a Tyrannosaurus Rex and suddenly becomes a wolf pack together.
In the end, it left me with "Ah, ok. Whatever."

This is a meh episode that could have been a lot more interesting or better. We learn little to nothing about the alien's religion. So, it would have been interesting to learn if their religion was similar to ours or such. Having an alien and human priest debate their religions seems like an interesting idea. Then the stinger at the end is at best a single line delivery. Did the dolphin demand that humanity be wiped out? Or were the aliens reacting to the dolphin's tale of human abuse or destruction to sea life? It is not clear and delivered through a single cryptic line that is not easy to hear. Either way, you can see the twist coming from a mile away.
