All of it broken down in such a way that anyone can understand the message, clear vision and warning this episode is sending out to the world. It is written to perfection. As an avid book reader who loved Game of Thrones in its entirety and grew distant from the fandom, I have loved reading people's reactions to the episodes this season in non-spoiler discussion threads online.

I've waited for this episode and yet it delivered better than all I had hoped for and more. It captures the true essence of everything that is a Song of Ice and Fire; why war is tragedy.

War is a horror show that isn't meant to be celebrated. It consumes, it kills, it burns, and it leaves ever lasting scars. And this episode was a horror show in the best possible way. It gave the viewers what they've been waiting for, but it gave it to us in a way that makes us wish we had never wanted it.
