Oh my god. This movie won't make you catch a break with how fast paced it is and the sheer amount of tension in the air. It will leave you on the edge of your seat for the whole duration of the movie. This movie is about a young teen trying to break into the school band with a teacher obsessed with perfectionism. Jk simmons truly deserves his oscar and this movie actually deserves the oscar over birdman and interstellar as people states that interstellar should've won. This movie is complete and one of the best movies I have ever seen in my lifetime but the ending for me felt a bit incomplete. I felt the story had more in it that's why I'd give it an 8/10.
This movie has it all. It had complex drama with all the character arcs done justice and executed so well. The conflicts in the characters personalities, their motives, the flashbacks and the story all executed so well in my opinion. Also this movie demolishes the stereotype of indians in western media for it to be looked with seriousness. But Slumdog Millionaire is not without its criticisms. The film has been accused of romanticizing poverty, offering a sanitized, westernized lens through which to view India's harsh realities. Its portrayal of slum life, while visually arresting, often skims over the nuances and systemic injustices it flirts with. Some have argued that it reduces real suffering into an exotic backdrop for a feel-good underdog story. By the end, Slumdog Millionaire doesn't claim to be a realist film. It's a modern myth-where chance, love, and perseverance override the rules of logic. Whether you view that as inspiring or overly convenient may depend on how you reconcile fantasy with reality.
This movie had it all. Drama and scenes that would make you cry. Dark and light comedy at the perfect chances given. Amazing acting from all the cast especially Mohammed farag. It is good and you won't come out disappointed from the movie. Such a nice plot (based on true events but with dramatic spices) and a great twist that I didn't see coming at all. I liked the music of the movie. The cinematography was ok but the colour grading was amazing in many shots. The dialogues we good too. None felt longer than needed and none felt shorter than needed. It's a really nice refreshing face for Bayoumi Fouad away from his silly comedy. Proves that he is a good actor. The only back side of the movie is the weird romantic interest between "Hassan" and "Inji" which felt rushed, immature, unexplained and not in place. But overall it's a really good movie and the last scenes were the icing on the cake.
