This is another well produced crime documentary from Netflix, again from Joe Berlinger who did the Ted Bundy Tapes. Hearing Dahmer's voice recount all of the horrific acts he committed was obviously disturbing but fascinating as to how completely open he was about it, with no deflection like other serial killers, and that he seemed to be just unsure of why he did these things as everyone was and wanted answers.
It works really well, whether intentionally or not, as a companion piece with the very recent Dahmer Netflix show starring Evan Peter's and reinforces just how incredibly accurate that show was in it's telling of the Dahmer story. It could've maybe been another episode longer but perhaps that's just me..

But that isn't exactly a huge accomplishment. The visual effects are a massive step up and Lance Reddick gives a fantastic performance as Wesker.
But the story is just incredibly boring and feels very disconnected from Resident Evil outside of the Umbrella name and the use of the some of the monsters.
If it had been a new IP this may have been a mediocre sci-fi zombie affair, but it's connection (or lack there of) to the Resident Evil franchise just hurts the show significantly.

As a massive fan of Uncharted games I had fairly low expectations for this film considering how long it's been in production hell and that we ended up with Tom Holland instead of Nathan Fillion in the role of Drake.
However, unlike last years abysmall Resident Evil Welcome to Raccoon City that was a cheap bastardization that marketed itself as "faithful" by the director, Uncharted is a mostly inoffensive adaptation that is competently directed, if not more than a little derivative from Indiana Jones (which it does make reference to) and National Treasure.
