First 2 eps were a solid 8.5 but then it nose-dives to a soft 6.
My first complaint is the title would suggest it is a movie adaptation of Frederick Forsyth's brilliant novel but it bears zero resemblance to that story. It's like making an adaptation of Moby Dick but without the whales.
The reason I save it nose-dives is the storyline just get's sillier and sillier. A "crack" squad finds him and are in within 50 metres, shoot off around 80 shots and nobody can get a direct hit. I hope I nevere need rescuing by these guys.
Horses outrunning v8 police vehicles? Really. I mean really?
But my main complaint is what I call Netflix disease. The awful padding of scenes to stretch it out to 6 eps... yeah we get it, shots of looking in room after room with no result fills the time out but add nothing to the story or character devolpment. This should have been a 4 part series or a 3 hour movie.

Due to a quirk in Australian streaming services, I somehow missed series 4 and went to series 5.
I probably should not have bothered. It is just awful.
I have been a Fargo fan since the original movie, but series 4 just misses on every count.
First, there is no initial crime that the hero is trying to solve thus driving the plot. The characters are just not relatable nor realistic. Chris Rock is awful.
And, most importantly.. there is none of that whole Minnesota charm that pervades the rest of the Fargo genre.
I'll watch the rest as I'm retired... but I will probably nap through a lot of it.

After a decade of juvenile, superhero DC/Marvel dross, along comes a cinematic masterpiece to blow them all away. Denis gave them all a masterclass on making films.
As a fan of the books (I read the first Dune in 1978) I was delighted that the director deviated from the source material only slightly... but it helped to create a visual feast... it actually added to and enhanced the story.
I was stunned by the sheer magnificence of the cinematography and sound design, costume design, art direction. The Giedi Prime scenes left me speechless.
Truly magnificent film-making. This is the new Hollywood benchmark.
BRAVO!
