The hype was the only thing thing good about the movie. It was advertised as the first Indian space film. It is disappointing to say the least. Why does these movies keep unnecessarily "glamourizing" some aspects and why do the actors keep agreeing to these things.

Don't watch it if you don't want to.

The story revolves around a doctor(Saiju Kurup) who tries to save his wife from a past boyfriend who is threatening her with old photos in compromising positions. Saiju Kurup tried his best in this movie. The plot is a good one. The good plot is ruined by the unnatural dialogue and dramatic music. The characters seem to talk in written language. It is very distracting and makes the audience lose focus. Many of the scenes are dumbed down, probably because it underestimates the audience. The police officers explaining every single thing to each other is kind of unnecessary as it makes the viewer think that they are learning to be an investigator from the movie. There are so many unwanted scenes and moments that just feel like its just to pad the runtime. But the main thing that bothered me is the 'Samuel Group' namedrops. What is it? Is it a group of people named Samuel saying "Hi, I am Samuel"?!. Another thing that bothered me is a part of the first act. A doctor-patient relationship turned into husband and wife. That too from a suicide attempt. When you think about it, very weird. But overall, could've been better.

To quote a youtuber who did a video about this show "Taking more time to make less of a point than the original, with nothing new to say either, makes this series such a sin." That's exactly what this is. A waste of time and money and creativity that could've been used at doing something at least productive. I am a Superfan of the original UTOPIA(2013). When I heard there was a reboot I thought it would be good (The Office came to my mind). Furthermore it was going to be Gillian Flynn from Gone Girl(one of my favorites). What could possibly go wrong. Then I saw the show and my question was answered. EVERYTHING. Consequence is a quality that resonated highly with UTOPIA(2013) whereas in this show NOTHING you do matters. I don't want to go into specifics as there will be spoilers(but the show is very predictable with often used tropes and character arcs in shows of the same genre). I just wished they continued the original's story. To conclude I would say, Go watch the original, it will be the best tv show experience of your life.
