How do I rank this with the original Sigourney Weaver quadrology?
Well, no sequels is going to beat the original Alien, this movie does not surpass Aliens either, I think it's slightly better than Alien 3 and much better than Alien Resurrection.
I also like this one better than Prometheus and Alien Covenant. And is the AVP movies better than this ? Yeah, I don't think so.
Alien Romulus entertained me with its exciting scenes. While the beginning was a bit slow, the film soon picked up with thrilling chases between the characters and the Xenomorphs.
Fede Álvarez returns to the roots of the saga with a suspenseful film that's entertaining from start to finish. While it doesn't innovate much and has some significant flaws, it's still a fun movie to see in theaters. The third act is one of the wildest things I've seen this year.

*Badland Hunters* doesn't offer much in terms of plot depth or character complexity. The storyline is predictable from the get-go.
What the film lacks in narrative, it makes up for with its sharp production design, blending action with comedy. The fight scenes are genuinely entertaining.
The villain's motives might be flimsy, but that's secondary to watching the main character easily overcome them. The film also features some impressive and over-the-top death scenes for the antagonists.
Excessive violence is part of the package, so expect to see the protagonist dispatch enemies with ease. The cast, especially Lee Jun-young alongside Ma Dong-seok, delivers performances that keep the film engaging and light-hearted.

I guess this is a prequel nobody asked for, just go straight to A Quiet Place Part 3 already. But almost every current movie franchises have a prequel nowadays anyway.
It has a different twist in the story, which I liked, although it is a bit more of the same. But who doesn't want more of that intense feeling of being completely silent until a jump-scare that's actually worth it?
I think there's one detail I loved and didn't at the same time... Frodo the cat feels so central to the story that I ended up focusing more on him than on the human characters. But aside from that, I found it to be a pretty decent installment until the actual third sequel which should explore more about the lore of the aliens (Death Angels).
It's far from being better than the first one, but it's a good companion to the second, and I still love the beautiful design of the Death Angels creatures.
