This is an amazing documentary. As a Cowboys fan for all of my 63 years, this brought back good and not so good memories. It reminded me of why I love football and the Cowboys in particular. I agree with the previous review that the game sequences are so well done. I was biting my nails all over again! After trying to swear off the team after the last playoff loss to Green Bay, I couldn't do it. This reminds me that hope springs eternal.
I adore Judge Judy and watch everything she does, but this is unwatchable. The beyond cheesy reenactments, the horrible acting, and the Judge herself looks stiff and uncomfortable. I made it through 2 episodes and it was painful. I don't know whose idea this was but they need to think again. It might have been okay if it was done in a documentary style with a look back on the cases. Why writers and producers think reenactments with third rate actors and production values are a good idea is beyond me. This does not deserve a second season or to be associated with Judge Judy. She can definitely do better.
It's such a shame when you look forward to watching a movie about Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward and you have to listen to their political beliefs. This documentary is well made and extremely interesting when focusing on their careers and family life. But being made by a fellow Hollywood liberal, Ethan Hawke, we have to hear what good liberals Newman and Woodward were. Would have been much better without the rhetoric.
