It's a survival horror parody with absurd humor. If absurd humor is not your cup of tea, you won't like this. But honestly I thought it was really funny, sure the jokes are mostly about how cute cats are... but I still laughed. The quality of the animation is sometimes good sometimes bad. The cats are well drawn, the girls... not really, the artist could have used more life drawing classes. But hey, why see's this and expects a masterpiece. Maybe keep your expectations at a realistic level.
If you are looking for a laugh, this is a good anime for that.

I was really impressed by the sets and costumes. Its a visually stunning movie. The soundtrack was also very immersive. The story was interesting as well.
It's rare to see stories about women on the big screen, even more rare stories that feel empowering. I highly recommend this movie if you are a women. Not sure what men think of it though.... but let's be real, they were not the target demographic. So I don't know why they feel the need to review bomb this. Ignore them.
This movie is more about human connnections than it is about war and fighting. Although there are some fight scenes and battle scenes, the movie reminds us that lives are at stake on each battle. It feels like a more mature and realistic view on war.

I think the core concept and story line of the movie is quite interesting. Some of the special effects are very well executed.
I think the main actress played her role quite well. She managed to act well even in the most awkward scenes.
Speaking of awkward scenes, there's a lot of them. Theres a lot of times were people are just not behaving like real people would. The script is to blame for that.
An other big flaw of this movie is how the main character wasn't given much lines or even a personality. The protagonist is very passive. Things just happen around her. She is always directed by the men around her and doesn't seem to have any strong opinions on anything.
Her friend is kinda creepy and touches her without her consent multiple times. When I say without consent. I mean without any warning or rational reason to touch her. Could be a fun drinking game. Drink whenever pointless physical contact happens.
Im not sure who's to blame for this... The writer... The director? Anyways someone somewhere needs more practice at writing female characters.
Just a hint. A regular women does not follow a men in creepy places because we do not feel safe about doing it. If a women still chose to do that she would still feel like it's dangerous to do it. Write in the script that she is uncomfortable at least. Women do not trust men they don't know. Ask any women, they'll confirm this.
