I don't usually watch movies like these, and as a man, romance / drama is really not my cup of tea most of the time. But I wanted to watch this movie because the premise seemed interesting. This movie is way more interesting than it looks at first glance and definitely goes deep inside the human psyche. Goes to show how our family dynamics really affect how we evolve as adults and how ego and personal insecurities can ruin good, loving relationships. The main actress is awesome. I was in awe of her performance from the start of the movie, till the credits. She could have been a Hollywood star if she had been in the US.

9/10 definitely recommend.

Not exactly sure how to feel about this. The premise is good, the first half of the movie is good but then it kinda falls off after the second half.

The acting of the protagonist is so nice that he is probably the reason you wanna keep watching the movie.

It just feels like the execution of the movie could be... better I guess.

When this movie came out in 2008, I watched it. And then I watched it again a year after, and again, and again, and again. And now it's 2025, and I watched it again. This movie is pure Liam Neeson in his golden era. The plot? Kinda far-fetched but who cares?

This movie is an action packed rollercoaster that shows the lengths to which a father will go to save his daughter. Imagine having Liam as a dad. I'd never wanna harm his daughter.

Really great action scenes and the plot, while based on action, it prompts you to think of stuff...

The thing with Liam Neeson is that he is an excellent actor, and also really great at fight scenes. His acting is so good, that you actually feel like it's his daughter in real life.

Excellent movie, we don't get movies like this no more.
