This review analyzes episode 5 of season 2 of the Helluva Boss series, titled "Unhappy Campers". It highlights that the series has lost quality compared to its beginning, as it has moved away from the original premise of hitman devils who travel to earth to kill people. Instead, it has focused on soap opera style dramas with poorly crafted dialogue and forced situations. Reference is made to the fact that the episode in question appears to have been written by a teenage girl on Wattpad.
The episode begins with Blitzo trying to find his twin sister in a rehab center. It is revealed that the sister left months ago without telling him, which infuriates Blitzo. Meanwhile, Moxxie and Millie argue with a potential client about a job to kill a camp monitor. The plot unfolds at Camp Ivannakummore, where Moxxie and Millie infiltrate in disguise to investigate the camp monitor. During their stay, Millie becomes the camp sensation, while Moxxie struggles to do her job.
The plot thickens when Blitzo finds his sister disguised as a human at the camp. It is revealed that the sister had been dealing drugs with the camp monitor, who becomes the target of Moxxie and Millie's work. The situation is further complicated when a firework accidentally explodes and kills the camp monitor.
In general, it is considered that the episode lacks cohesion and that the secondary plots are not well integrated into the main story. The lack of character development and poorly elaborated dialogues are criticized. It is concluded that the episode does not meet the expectations of the fans of the series and that it is another sign of the decadence of the series.
