You shouldn't compare S1 and S2 because they tell different stories. With S1, we have a bunch of people come together regardless of their side to save the world. But for S2 it's just a group of the two of "us" saves the world, or I should say postponed the 2nd Armageddon. As much as I hate saying this. But with S1, you can watch it once and be entertained because it's grandiose, and to an extent very entertaining and witty. With S2 yes, you can still do that but, still witty and entertaining. But the details that hide behind the façade are just too much. S2 is not about action or killing or coming together. And in fact it's not going around the world whatsoever, only around The UK. And the stories feel a little bit lacking here and there because the budget has been cut, we literally lack an episode in S2 due to COVID and Amazon said that there should only be 5 episodes rather than 6. And stuffs like that. Thus, the stories are not told as in face value but rather subtly through the props and the scenes and Michael with David minuscule facial expressions. That's you can watch S2 10 times over and still interpret things differently after each watch. Because if S1 is a roller coaster that gives you the shivering sensation due to the enormity of the set, S2 is more reclusive, more gentle and more like a warm cuppa in the cold morning. You still feel cold, but at least you feel some what warm and still yearning for more after that.
One of the episodes where I have to stop and write a complain letter. I was literally eating my lunch while seeking for the last episode of bluey and this one hit me like a truck. Leave me absolutely ugly cry while still laughing because of the warm-hearted message.
I don't know are there any show that's 7 minutes long that can leave people ugly cry while feeling better? But I can guarantee there is no show that can be compared with Bluey. And this episode is not the cherry on top. It's the main meal, it's the full course. It's the one that you revisited every now and then to remember that adversaries make us stronger. Thank you Bluey!

If you know what you are looking for, which is pure entertainment, no brain-twisting ideas/ details/ conspiracy theories (you name it), and a healthy amount of historical fact, the same amount of your daily dose of multi-vitamins, then you come to the right place.
This movie is not only fun to watch, but it literally explains everything you need to know/ follow the story. You might say, well, it's a little bit fictional isn't it since there hardly ever has anyone who can figure things out like Sherlock Holmes, let alone Enola. Well, lemme tell you this, this is a fictional world, where not everything has to make sense. And if you are already in that fictional world, you cannot use your daily common sense to figure things in that world out. Otherwise, we will have a contradiction.
If you are a great fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, then just stop watching from the first movie, you don't need to self-tortured and then yammered about it! If you can watch the "Joker", or the new "The Batman" movie, why can't you just REALISE that this movie is not the same universe with "Sherlock Holmes" from RDJ or Benedict Cumberbatch. It's Enola Holmes Universe, not Sherlock Holmes Universe. Not everything is about Sherlock even if he is mentioned, just like not everything is circling around your opinion.
But the most importantly, why don't you just stop being pretentious and ostentatious with your supreme taste of movie? There are many forms of art, and seriously, if I say that I don't like Kanya West's musics, my friend will literally ostracise me, and so I just don't vocalise my thoughts. A part because I just can't understand his music and I couldn't care less about it; and a part because if it's not a constructive criticism, it's better not to be told.
And seriously, except being a little bit straightforward, I think the movie is greatly endearing. But the most importantly, I hate the way your dilettantes' thought are now as valid as those who have spent their entire lives to master themselves in this art.
TLDR: just stop being that person who criticised this movie because it doesn't follow your England 19th century. And that's the reason why, you should not binge watching, it's unhealthy, choose your movie wisely. Because by saying art, you are saying that have different taste. So be like David Hume and understand that it's not about "Do I like this movie", but rather "Is this movie good?"
