I never liked kpop- it just isn't for me, and I had some negative association with it due to many people I know who like it have hurt me. That being said, WOW this movie was good.
I first saw the teasers about a month ago, and was surprised it came out so soon after so little advertising.
Despite my history with kpop as a whole, I watched the movie after finding out a lot of talented people from other things I enjoyed had a lot of input on it and friends started reccomending it to me and MAN am I glad I listened to them.
Don't want to spoil much but a rundown of what I liked:
I have a few minor nitpicky criticisms but overall this is an amazing movie I didn't expect to like as much as I do. If you liked rainbow rocks, I urge you to watch this movie too.

Don't want to spoil much but a rundown of what I liked:
- despite not liking kpop (or any pop music for that matter), the soundtrack is IMMACULITE. The main song, "Golden" and the villain song "your idol" being the biggest standoits, but all of these songs are catchy and well made
- of course this had the spiderverse crew behind it, so we got some amazing manga/cartoony inspired 3D animation with stunning colours and brilliant choreography
- the main takeaway about self-hate and "that nagging voice" was portrayed as a beautiful allegory, and the protagonist's queer-coded struggles are realistic as a queer and tran person
- the comedy was GREAT and you can tell the animators had fun with this project shjefvsjdbsnfb

As of writing this review, this is the only episode that's out. And it's pretty good! I recognised the beautiful background style from the owl house and wasn't surprised to find they were drawn by the same person.
Visually, it's stellar. The plot is intriguing, the characters are fun, the soundtrack is really good, and the pacing is good.
I guess that my only real issue is that at times the dialogue doesn't sound too realistic and at worst can feel a bit childish. However, that doesn't outweigh the positives for me, and if you're a fan of fantasy and have twenty minutes, you should definetly check it out!
