What did I just watch? First 4 episodes were truly enjoyable. I'm not sure what kind of artsy fartsy mind trip the writer thought he was taking us down, but save that for some drama show. Like Friends, or Steel Magnolias or the like.
Someone went to some mind journey camp where the ganja was being passed hard, and thought to themselver... what if... what if instead of a show about Zombies.... let's let the main character go through a mind journey... having nothing to do with zombies.
This episode's script read more like a high school drama play.
Tales of the Walking Dead.... this is not. Hard pass.

Hollywood needs to take note. This is how you nail the first episode of a new series. With a long line of Star Trek movies and spin-offs, this one has a big fan base to satisfy.
Taking place before the original Star Trek, this series somehow manages to keep an early, vintage feel with all the special effects and beautiful visuals that today's technology benefits in film making.
I'm looking forward to seeing more episodes in this season, and like that they brought in both known character names and new ones into the show.

Did I just watch a Saturday morning special from the 70s? The special effects, acting, storyline and costumes are on par with Sid & Marty Krofft TV shows from that bygone era.
Maybe, if that's what Chibnall was going for, then bravo? You nailed it.
